Fashions fade but Style is eternal.

Fashion is being offered and worn by most at any particular moment in time. It is a fad, a trend that does not last for long. When you are following fashion you are basically in comparison mode, wanting to look and be seen like everyone else. You purchase and wear the same garments that are being offered in stores, depicted in magazines, and shown on the runway. It can be exhausting, not to mention quite a drain on your pocket, to have to keep up with the offerings each season. Style on the other hand is unique and very personal. It has nothing to do with fashion. Rather it is an indication of your personality. And  in personal style, popularity become more popular in past couples.

Fashion is over quickly, whereas style is forever.

Whereas FASHION is an art that is notoriously difficult to keep up because of trends are changing seasonally and on the other hand STYLE is impacted by much longer-lasting factors. As fashion is all concerned with “what’s out there” (in the fashion stores) and style is concerned with “what’s in here” (my sense of self , my identity , my perception of who I am). I believe that fashion has the capacity to erode our self-esteem and confidence because by its very nature it assumes a gap between where you are and where you should be.

Fashion is always shifting – even if something you’re wearing is deemed in fashion today, it likely won’t be very soon, possibly as early as tomorrow (and if not then, then next week or next month – whenever it is, it’s soon). Your style could be more about your comfort than fashion, but by cultivating your own unique style you have to adopted that innate capability now to be charismatic and confident. You are now the type of woman that everyone loves and is drawn towards. You become instantly and effortlessly attractive to everyone.

WEAR WHAT YOU LOVE TO

This is the person’s own opinion, their own choice in clothes and accessories. The terms fashion and style are commonly thrown around these days, however many people find it difficult to distinguish between the two. According to Oscar de la Renta “Fashion is about dressing according to what’s fashionable. Style is more about being yourself.”

Fashion is very versatile. It keeps on changing. Things that are fashionable tend to go out of fashion by next year, or next season, or even next week. A person is only fashionable if they are following the current fashion, a thing hard put to do as fashion is for a limited time only. One must constantly keep changing their wardrobe to keep up with all the current fashions. Style, on the other hand, is considered more permanent and timeless, as it does not need to change. It may only change when the person does, or this style or personality is redefined. Style is not dependent upon clothing; it can be associated with anything that makes you look stylish, be that a unique way of speaking, a unique paring of accessories, a unique way of carrying yourself.

Conclusion: style is so much more than fashion.
